![]() Non-pro software like itunes can usually assume one monitor, but I've never used any professional software on the mac that didn't let me undock my windows.Īlthough Cheetah is an easier to use lower priced alternative to the big 3d programs, 3d software is complicated enough that you should assume professionals, or semi-professionals will be using it. Apple's pro production software (final cut, motion, etc) is all multiple windows. ![]() Maybe a better analogy was pro vs non-pro. Now both platforms contain that "master" window which annoys me because even though I can float the windows, you can't get rid of that master window which the subwindows still want to open in. There was a period of time where on windows adobe apps would open all sub windows within a master window, where on mac, they would float all the windows. Adobe hasn't defaulted to multiwindow for a long time which I actually miss.
